Give until it helps

The heart of giving is what helps you when you sacrifice your time and money to give. If your heart is broken by a need that you see or experience, you just want to make a difference by giving from your heart to touch others in their world.

• When we see the pain and heartache resulting from natural disasters we just want to reach out into that community, into those homes, into their world, and help them.  Heritage Christian Academy is sending a 53' tractor trailer truck to Houston to send furniture, household goods, clothing, and more to a family of 67 that lost their homes during Katrina and Rita.
• When we can encourage children and teach them about Jesus by leading them in their own language in VBS activities on the mission field we just want to see their life through the eyes of those in need of the gospel and reach out to them by giving of ourselves.  Heritage Christian Academy students volunteer in missions to Mexico and other areas to help give the message of salvation to those who need their hearts mended.
• When we can give to create a new found Christian environment for children and their parents we are giving in a meaningful way to help others working together as a sponsor group to go into the world, to touch those we don't even know.  Heritage Christian Academy sponsors several Christian video-schools in North and South American countries, and sponsors a pastors school in Mexico.
• While Malachi 3:8 instructs us to tithe, it also instructs us to give offerings beyond our tithes.  God's design is for us to live in the 90% that we have after we give the 10% that is God's to Him. But our real blessings come when we give offerings to the Lord beyond our 10% tithe.    "Prove me now," God says. "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it.  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes". Malachi 3:10-11.  Heritage Christian Academy tithes to various ministries and missions including: Adventure in Missions, Food for the Poor, IFCJ, Metro Ministries of New York City, Operation Exodus, Samaritan's Purse, Voice of the Martyrs, and others.

Giving because we have to give, or just giving out of routine, can cause us to lose our heart for giving and giving from the heart is really the point.

Tithing means we give our first fruits to God - the first of our resources, including time, talents, and money.  The most powerful demonstration of this value of giving the first fruits is in God's own compassionate sacrifice as He gave His firstborn and only Son for us.  That's the example of the true heart of giving that we must value, and it's a very real reason to worship our Lord in our giving.

Fundraising

Heritage Christian promotes several fundraising activities during the school year to raise funds needed for ongoing school functions. Continuous collection of Kroger Receipts, Book Tops for Education, Tyson A+ labels, used cell phones, and used inkjet or laser printer cartridges turns into cash as well as other items for our school. Please collect these items and send them to your child’s teacher or turn them into the office.

Giving to Heritage Christian Academy

Families can learn about giving by sponsoring a child to attend Heritage Christian Academy.  There are many different ways to sponsor students including tuition sponsorship (full or partial), book sponsorship, and scholarship awards. Do you have a heart for missions?  Your giving can help us to work together on a mission project with our students. Celebrate giving with us!  It brings great joy to tithe and give extra offerings as a way to worship our Lord!
